Annual General Meeting 2014

Sunday 26th January, 3pm

Calling ATG members old and new! The AGM is this Sunday at 3pm and we need you there. This is not some stuffy boring affair with people waffling on for hours about the definition of the letters A, T and G. No! This is a social event with a twist and your presence is needed.

The meeting

For the meeting portion of the, er, meeting, you'll hear from our crack team of AGM specialists, Jill, Suzi and Nicky about how ATG has performed this year. Then the current Committee will step down (literally in some cases, a few of us are pretty short) and then we vote for our 2014 Committee.

All roles are available, so if you've been a member for two years or more and want to get more involved, just get another group member nominate you and let the voting commence. And then when the new Committee has been elected, it's time to celebrate!

The social

The AGM is the first social event of the year, so come along and catch up with friends. We'll have some drinks and nibbles and plenty of good company.

The book swap

Have you got a house full of books you've read but can't bear to throw away even though you'll never read them again? Well I have, so here's what we do about it: bring your books to the Hut on Sunday and swap them with friends! There's no money involved, but if you've got a good book that someone else might enjoy, pay it forward and you might pick up some new books as well. The only rule is; DON'T talk about book club! Actually, it's fine to talk about but if your books aren't all snapped up then you need to take home whatever you brought so we don't leave the Hut in a mess.
