On 2nd October Hall we were transported to the glamour of 1920s Hollywood for a fabulous evening of indulgence!

Gee and her team transformed the Hall with lanterns, balloons and a 7 foot Oscar which greeted us on arrival. We started the evening with a little Sex on the Beach (as you do) and moved on to a gorgeous meal of antipasti, lamb, chicken and some scrummy desserts, which were dished up beautifully (except the cheesecake which was unceremoniously slopped into a bowl!).

Christine kicked off the cabarets in style by singing beautifully for us and then Maggie and Gen wowed us with their charlston routine. Rick Morris then lowered the tone suitably with his hilarious Jackanory Story - I don't remember them being quite like that when I was a kid!

Gee and Melissa kept us giggling with their Girls on the Town sketch and Dom sang Purpose from Avenue Q and Grow Old With Me by Jason Robert Brown which gave us all a tear in our eyes. Martin Llewellyn always treats us with a great sketch at the Awards and this year was no different with a Ronnie Barker sketch.

Finally Gee, Ellie and Angie became the Chicken Supremes whose arms grew about 3 feet each during the song! And to round off the evening Jay sang our fabulous ATG Anthem complete with new versus for the 2008-2010 years.
