Meet & Greet evening

Wednesday 12th July 2017

This November we'll be performing a fantastic musical called Billy, based on the novel Billy Liar. It'll be directed by Morven Rae and our musical director will be Robert Randall. It's got a large cast with 9 principals and a chorus so this is a great time to get involved with ATG, if you haven't before, and a great time to get more involved if you've taken a break.

Wednesday 12th July, 8pm, the Hut
Come along to find out more about the show, meet Morven and Robert and listen to some of the music in advance of the auditions. We'll have some drinks and nibbles so it's a great opportunity for another social get together.

Auditions
Sunday 20th August, 8pm, the Hut
Tuesday 22nd August, 8pm, the Hut

The Show
Billy, the musical
Music by John Barry, lyrics by Don Black, book by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais
Based on Billy Liar by Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall

Billy Fisher lives with Mum, Dad and Gran in Yorkshire and is an undertaker's clerk - but in his mind he is President of Ambrosia, a film star, a scriptwriter - and anything else glamorous that happens to occur to him! However, nobody else believes him, certainly neither Barbara nor Rita, to both of whom he has promised marriage, though there is only one engagement ring! He frantically tries to lie his way out, so he can run away with Liz, the only girl who understands him, but we know he'll never quite make it.

We hope to see lots of you on Wednesday night and, of course, at the auditions in August.
