Breaking News! Our April 2016 production will be In For The Kill by Derek Benfield and will be directed by the very lovely Simon Church. Join us at the play reading to find out more about the show and then see us at the auditions to get involved. 

Play Reading

Thursday 14th January at 8pm at the Hut.

As usual an informal social gathering to drink tea, read the play and find out more about what roles both on and backstage we have available. This is our first social event of the year and not just for actors, everyone is welcome so please come along and wish everyone a happy new year and find out how you can be involved.

Tuesday 19th & Thursday 21st January at 8pm at the Hut.

You only need to come to one of the above not both, but you're welcome to come to both if you'd like to. The audition itself will be fairly informal. You'll be asked to read for our director Simon and the other members of our casting committee and then it's off to the pub! 

The Play

We will be performing In For The Kill by Derek Benfield. ATG has performed several of Benfield's plays in the past, most recently Caught On the Hop in 2010, and his comedies are well loved by ATG members and our audience.

Paula's husband James dies in an apparent car accident which quickly proves to have been a deliberate murder. The stage is set for an ever-increasing tangle of lies and suspicions... did the killer mean to murder James, or was the intended victim Paula's lover Mark? What does James' old friend Frank have to do with all of this, and why has he suddenly appeared at the door? The suspicions, accusations and unexpected revelations among the characters culminate in a surprising and dramatic climax.

In For The Kill has 5 cast members - three men and two women.

Sun 3rd April - dress and tech
Tues 5th April - dress rehearsal
Thurs 7th April - performance
Fri 8th April - performance
Sat 9th April- performance
