Synopses

This is our third year as a Theatre Group and for our first programme this year we have chosen two short plays, which we hope will contrast well.

The Sky is Overcast gives us a glimpse into the life of a Resistance Worker, Max Benoir, who is fighting a continual battle of wits against the Germans, to avoid discovery.

In lighter vein Black Comedy concerns a sculptor who thinks himself on the road to fame and fortune when a millionnaire shows interest in his work. However, on the night that the millionannaire is to visit him he has a succession of disasters - everything is apparently against him!
