June 2018 Production - Auditions

Relatively Speaking

Auditions - Tuesday 10th & Thursday 12th April

Our June production will hopefully be a hit with our comedy-loving audience as we'll be performing an Alan Ayckbourn classic, Relatively Speaking. We have exciting news as well in the shape of a new director joining ATG, so please wish Peter Reed a very warm welcome! Here's info you need:

Tuesday 10th & Thursday 12th April at 8pm at the Hut.

You only need to come to one of the above not both, but you're welcome to come to both if you'd like to. The audition itself will be fairly informal. You'll be asked to read for our director Peter and the other members of our casting committee and then it's off to the pub!

The Play

We will be performing Relatively Speaking by Alan Ayckbourn.

Ginny goes to the house of her older lover in order to end a relationship and retrieve some compromising letters. Matters are complicated when her current partner also turns up and meets the wife of the lover, believing her to be Ginny's mother, leading to misunderstanding and confusion. A British hit, with reviews describing it as "deliciously heady," "a near miracle," and provoking "the proverbial gales of laughter."

Ginny - A young woman with a chequered past
Greg - Ginny's current boyfriend
Philip - Ginny’s former employer and ex-lover
Sheila – Philip’s wife
