It's not all about getting up on stage. An incredible amount of work goes on behind the scenes to make it all possible. There are lots of jobs to be done the least of which is getting involved with set building which goes on every Saturday whilst we're putting a show together.

Check out the gallery below of some of the sets we've designed and constructed over the years. All our sets are created by ATG members at our rehearsal room The Hut and then transported to our performance venue The Hall where we build them to fit our 14' stage. It's quite an undertaking and a large part of every ATG member's life.

There's always a lot of work to be done to support the actors on stage. And it's not just the set. There is also lighting, sound, props and a number of other things to be considered and we are always on the look-out for people to help with these things. If you're an old hand looking to get involved with a new group - or if you've never even attempted these things but fancy having a go, we'd love to meet you. We'll teach you all the things you need to know.

To add a personal note, the person writing this didn't know which end of a screwdriver to hold when he joined ATG. He's since stage managed several productions!

If you'd like to get involved, we'd love to hear from you. Just get in touch with us (you can email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
