Hold on to your hats guys, we are getting ready to launch our November 2019 production! We will be performing Murder is a Game by Fred Carmichael, directed by Christine Woodhead. Join us at the play reading to find out more about the show and then see us at the auditions to get involved!

Play Reading

Thursday 8th August at 8pm at the Hut.

This will be an informal social gathering to have some drinks and nibbles, read the play and find out more about what roles we have available. This isn't just for actors, everyone is welcome so please feel free to come along to see the gang and have a bit of a catch up while finding out more about our November production. If you are new to ATG or you met us at the Blanchmans Fayre recently this is the perfect opportunity to meet the rest of the gang and find out more about what we do, with no obligation to read or audition unless you want to.

Auditions

Tuesday 13th & Thursday 15th August at 8pm at the Hut.

You only need to come to one of the above not both, but you're welcome to come to both if you'd like to. The audition itself will be fairly informal. You'll be asked to read for our director Christine and the other members of our casting committee and then it's off to the pub! 

The Play

We will be performing Murder is a Game by Fred Carmichael.

Synopsis

The show has laughter, suspense and intrigue with fun characters and plenty of plot twists.

When a successful married mystery writing team hit a block with the plot for their new book, their publisher arranges for them to spend a weekend in an old mansion, built on a movie set.

To help inspire the writers, various people have been hired to play an assortment of characters and act out a murder which the couple must try to solve. However, when a real murder occurs fun and mayhem ensue.

Sloan Bigelow - Part of a successful mystery writing team with her husband Toby. (playing age 30-60)

Toby Bigelow - Part of a successful mystery writing team with his wife Sloan. (playing age 30-60)

Lois Dunston – Their publisher (playing age 40-70)

June Ripley – An actress hired to play the part of the young secretary in the mock murder mystery (playing age 20-30)

Stephen Leech – An actor hired to play the part of an adulterous doctor in the mock murder mystery (playing age 40-70)

Cora Leech - An actress hired to play the part of the cheated doctor’s wife in the mock murder mystery (playing age 40-70)

Nick Ranelli - An actor hired to play the part of an American hustler in the mock murder mystery (playing age 30-60)

BB Mink – A showgirl hired to play a part in the mock murder mystery (playing age 20-40)
