Annual BBQ & AGM


Full & Social Members are cordially invited to attend our AGM on Sunday 25th August at 2pm, swiftly followed by conviviality, fun and games at our annual BBQ!

BBQ marshmallowsOur AGMs are usually very short but they are an important opportunity for us to meet up and put our ideas forward to help with the running of our amazing group. Without our members we are nothing, so your opinion matters and we look forward to seeing you there.

We also provide the incentive of fun and games, burgers and BBQ fare and a dip in the hot tub to help you get involved! Guests and family are also welcome, this is one of our child friendly events, but they, of course, cannot vote at the AGM.

What to bring: A chair or blanket to sit on, drinks and something to drink out of, swimming togs and a towel if you fancy a dip in the hot tub

All food is catered by the Committee so do let us know if you're veggie or have any food allergies.

Fundraising Quiz to Save Our Hut

Friday 26th April 2019

This year ATG Drama Group needs to raise £10,000 to save our beloved rehearsal Hut. To kick off our year of fundraising we'll be holding a quiz night on Friday 26th April at our performance venue Warlingham Church Hall. We'd love to see lots of ATG-ers past and present, along with audience members and members of our community, please support ATG and help us to Save Our Hut!

The Details

Time: 8pm-10.30pm
Tickets: £5 per head - available in advance at or cash on the door on the night
Teams: We suggest teams of up to six people, but if you've got seven we're not going to be too strict about it

Please feel free to bring your own drinks and nibbles, along with a bunch of mates and have a great night out while raising money for your local community. We look forward to seeing you there.

More about Save Our Hut

ATG Drama Group is a not for profit organisation. The proceeds of ticket sales for our productions go into funding future productions and maintenance of our equipment, costumes, set and utilities. Since 1984 we've rehearsed in a converted former Girl Guide hut in Hamsey Green, we also use it to store our props, costumes and scenery and host our annual Christmas Party. Over the years we have repaired and replaced much of the Hut, but we have now reached a point where more substantial repairs are needed. This means that we need to raise the money, or pay to hire another venue for rehearsals, which will make a considerable hole in our show budgets. Our beloved Hut is dear to all of us at ATG, memories have been made there, love stories told, lots of laughs shared and many many a rehearsal has taken place. This is why we have launched Save Our Hut. We are trying to raise £10,000 to ensure that we have a welcoming, warm and secure rehearsal venue for the future! The date: Saturday 27th October
The time: 7pm for dinner at 7:30
The venue: The Hall
The dress code: Ball gowns and tiaras, anything goes!
The theme: The Greatest Show

The Night

We hold the ATG Awards ceremony every other year to celebrate the achievements of our members and to have a PARTY! The evening involves a three course meal, awards ceremony, cabaret, and dancing. It's a brilliant night so make sure you are there.

The Tickets

Tickets for the event cost £25 for Full Members and £28 for Social Members. Your ticket money covers your three course meal with welcome drink, cheese course and after dinner coffee plus a contribution towards the cost of the event. The remaining costs are covered by ATG.

We’ll be having a three course meal as follows:

Starter: A choice of homemade tartlets

Main course:

Meat option: Spiced lamb tagine, mint, orange
Vegetarian option: Roasted squash, chickpea & lentil curry

Fresh fruit platter
Double chocolate, salted caramel brownies

Plus, cheese and biscuits, coffee and Carolyn's spectacular Big Top cake

Vote for your winners

All ATG Full Members are eligible to vote, and you don't have to vote in every category if you don't want to. We’ve had some amazing cabaret performances over the years beautiful songs from the musicals, hilarious sketches, lots of silly business and several wardrobe malfunctions! Our cabaret stars are all busily rehearsing in secret, so you are in for fabulous evening's entertainment.

We like to keep an air of mystery about the event so please don't tell anyone who you have voted for, or what cabaret you intend to perform.
